Bio
Hello, I can't wait to work with you and your student. My name is Mrs. Sherise Scott. What I have learned is that students learn best when they learn in an environment where their strengths are developed, and their weaknesses are prioritized. Evaluations are the blueprint for the lesson. The data we receive from assessments and evaluations is the foundation for improvements. As a tutor, my job is to teach in the way students learn, not to have them learn the way I teach. My goal in tutoring is to focus on the goals students have for themselves and on the goals parents and teachers have for their students. Building rapport with my students is very important. Student-centered lessons help to build confidence in students. They also help to build rapport between the student and the tutor. A little about me, I write Children's books, have 4 children, and I like to travel. I can't wait to meet you!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural Studies and a Master's Degree in Special Education. I have been teaching for 11 years, in person and virtually. I have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten to twelfth grade. I have taught Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science, and Emotional Learning.
