Bio
I believe students need to be supported from where they are so that the learning they are doing is accessible to them. I would like to be a catalyst for my students' growth in all areas, including critical thinking and creativity. I will meet students where they are and support them with necessary supports, but let them engage in a productive struggle to grow out of the supports they first need. I am looking to broaden my impact and help others love learning.
Teacher Specialization
I have certification in special education which has helped me better support students through the years. I bring more than 15 years of educational expertise to every tutoring session, helping students unlock their full potential. Through our virtual learning environment sessions—where I have years of experience designing digital curriculum and leading remote instruction—my goal is to make complex concepts simple and engaging. I have taught and mentored students from Elementary (K-5) through Adult levels, specializing in Science, Literacy, Leadership, and Career Readiness. My academic background in chemistry and biology, foundational reading skills, and Educational Leadership is paired with a deep specialization in Exceptional Student Education (ESE). This means I am uniquely equipped to support students with diverse learning needs, including those with IEPs and 504 plans, using data-driven interventions and a supportive, growth-oriented mindset.
