Hi there! I am so excited to introduce myself and be your online tutor! I am a certified K-6 educator with 16 years experience specializing in reading, elementary math, and English as a Second Language. I have helped students move from "I don't get it" to confidently tackling fractions, decimals and problem solving math problems like a champ. I believe every learner thrives when instruction is engaging, personalized and rooted in encouragement. My approach blends structured literacy, language development and hands-on strategies to build confidence and mastery. My teaching personality is a mix between a cheerful motivator and a patient coach. I create a safe space where mistakes are part of the plan, growth is always celebrated and every student feels seen and capable.

Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education K-6 and am a certified K–6 educator with 16 years of teaching experience specializing in Reading Intervention, ESL, and foundational Math. I have extensive training and hands-on experience with Orton-Gillingham strategies, WILSON Reading System, and REWARDS Multisyllabic Word Reading, using structured literacy and evidence-based interventions to build decoding, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I spent 5 years teaching Grades 1–5 in traditional classrooms, including 6 years focused on 5th Grade Math and 3 years supporting multilingual learners through ESL, language acquisition scaffolds, and academic vocabulary instruction. My online instructional experience spans 2 years and includes personalized tutoring in phonics, writing, fluency, morphology, grammar, and math fundamentals.
