Bio
My teaching philosophy centers on making learning fun, engaging, and personalized to each child’s needs. I build strong relationships with students and believe confidence grows when kids feel supported, understood, and challenged at the right level. I use data-driven, research-based strategies to help learners make real progress, and I partner closely with families to set goals and celebrate growth. I’m warm, patient, and encouraging, and I work hard to create sessions that spark curiosity and help every child feel successful. I’m excited to support your child’s learning journey!
Teacher Specialization
Hello, I'm Mrs. Harris a dedicated educator with 21 years of teaching experience, a Master’s in Education, a Reading Specialist certification (K–12), and a strong background as a math coach, tutor coordinator, and virtual tutor. I have six years of experience teaching virtually, and 15+ years of experience tutoring in person/virtually. In virtual learning, I focus on making every session lively, engaging, and interactive so your child actually looks forward to learning. I use fun visuals, clear modeling, think-alouds, and hands-on practice right on the screen to keep students active, not passive. I break concepts into manageable steps, celebrate progress often, and adjust lessons on the spot to match your child’s needs. I also communicate regularly with families, so you always feel informed and supported. My goal is to create a warm, encouraging online space where your child feels confident, connected, and excited to grow—no matter where they’re learning from.
