Bio
Hi! My name is Sydney Bullock. I have been teaching for 8+ years, most of them being in Special Education between grades 2-6 covering all subject areas. My teaching philosophy centers on clarity, curiosity, and confidence: I break complex concepts into manageable steps, encourage inquiry and critical thinking, and promote a growth mindset. I use research-based teaching methods and inclusive learning strategies to help students create clear, step-by-step lessons, simple check-ins to monitor progress, targeted support for struggling students, and enrichment activities for advanced learners, making sure every student’s needs are supported. My teaching personality is structured yet flexible, encouraging and patient, strategic and diagnostic, always focused on building student confidence, engagement, and long-term skill mastery rather than simple task completion.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education grade 1-5 and I am also certified to teach Special Education grades 1-5 as well. I specialize in Math tutoring as well as Reading, but can address all subjects needed. I also specialize in Special Education which allows me to use alternative methods to help students understand the material.
