Bio
My passion for dynamic and diverse education began with a simple, hands-on homemade cinnamon roll lesson my grandmother and I created together for my fifth-grade homeroom, and it has grown into a sustained commitment to effective, student-centered instruction. Over the past 18 years, I've taught students across K-12 and college a variety of subjects, including core academics, technology, and design. I also taught Grade 12 English in Thailand, which strengthened my ability to work with diverse learners and language backgrounds. I focus on creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges. By combining clear explanations, guided practice, and constructive feedback, I help students build confidence and independence. I believe learning should be both meaningful and enjoyable. I tailor my instruction to meet each student’s individual needs so they can achieve lasting success.
Teacher Specialization
I am a multi-state licensed educator with 18 years of K–12 teaching experience in core academics, Business, Technology and Psychology (B.A.), with a Master's in Special Education and BCBA certification using learned Applied Behavior Analysis techniques in progress. I work with a wide range of learners, from students who need additional support and structure to those seeking greater academic challenge. My sessions are active, engaging and built around real understanding--not memorization. My instruction emphasizes conceptual understanding to help students think critically, solve problems and make connections to apply what they learn with confidence.
