Bio
My name is Mrs. E, I am so excited to work with you! Working with children to help them find their confidence and love for learning is my passion. I love music, having played piano, flute and guitar. I have been in choir or dance for most of my life. I love being outside in nature and love animals. I have had dogs, cats, and even ferrets! I believe that every student is capable of feeling confident in school and learning, sometimes they just need guidance and support. I think that learning should be fun, because the world is filled with amazingly interesting things! My goal is to teach students how to successfully navigate their learning so that they can excel not only in school but lifelong. I make it my goal to teach students ways to stay organized, along with tips and tricks to help them learn. I love building a relationship where a student feels safe and comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Seeing a student gain confidence and skill is my passion, hope to see you soon!
Teacher Specialization
I graduated from California State University of Monterey Bay with honors. I have taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade and tutored many children since college. I taught multiple subjects, but earned recognition for two years in a row for raising my class reading test scores. I also earned Teacher of the Week recognition in my district due to a family nominating me! I have extensive experience working with students with learning disabilities and love to help children learn ways to succeed!
