Bio
I believe that everyone is capable of learning, even if it happens at a different pace, as long as the learner is shown grace, patience, and understanding. I believe in meeting students where they are, making learning fun, but productive, and share the strengths and areas of growth for each student. I want the students who I work with to feel like they have grown as a student, developing critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving capabilities, and developing a life-long love of learning. Throughout our tutoring relationship, student that I work with will meet their academic goals, grow as a learner, and develop the ability to work hard and do their best. I always emphasize positive, supportive, and inclusive environments, where we treat others with respect and kindness. I build meaningful relationships with my students by getting to know them, showing that I care about their well-being, and being honest with each child. I enjoy reading, listening to music, and puzzles.
Teacher Specialization
I have a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics and a Masters of Science degree in Mathematics. I have worked as a tutor for eight years with students from first grade to eleventh grade, as well as a Mathematics Teacher for two years with ninth graders. I have worked as an online tutor for fifteen months with students from first grade to seventh grade. I have a Teachers certificate in 6-12 Mathematics, and I have a certificate in the Science of Reading.
