Bio

I believe in hands-on learning, where students and teachers work together towards attainable goals. Social studies should be an immersive experience, focusing on visualization over memorization. Feedback should empower students, such as "Next time, maybe try this...," emphasizing the learning journey. I will create an inclusive environment, supporting all students' diverse learning styles. I am a married mother of two, a six-year Army veteran (Iraq and Afghanistan), who enjoys caring for tropical and clearance plants. Teaching and tutoring enable me to homeschool my youngest while pursuing my passion.

Teacher Specialization

I offer two years of diverse teaching experience, having instructed at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. My credentials include Middle School Social Studies certification through the Pathway to Practice program at NC State in North Carolina, a Bachelor’s Degree in History, and an Undergraduate Certificate in Forensic Studies.
