Bio
Hello! My name is Teri Gennaro. I have been teaching for thirty years. I love teaching and have a passion for helping students of all ages succeed in school. I’m a highly qualified, patient and dedicated tutor who always strives to create a learning environment where students are comfortable and confident. My teaching style is student oriented with a focus on student engagement. I encourage my students to ask questions and actively engage in the learning process. The goals I aim to achieve through tutoring include promoting independent learners, enhancing student engagement, improving educational outcomes, and providing personalized instruction. I’m an interactive tutor, using visual aids and modern technology to ensure student’s needs are met and that their learning experience is both fun and informative. I select high interest material that my students find relatable, and I adapt my methods to match their learning style.
Teacher Specialization
I have 30 years of experience in the classroom. I am a certified English teacher and Reading Specialist. I teach reading, language arts, public speaking and piloted a Reading Intervention program. I have worked with students of all ages from all different backgrounds. I also have extensive online teaching experience. I taught in a cyber school, I taught Chinese students, and I tutor students in K-8 online. I also wrote and taught Professional Development classes to teachers at a university.
