Bio
Have you ever watched a child learn a new skill with curiosity and joy? Those moments are what inspire me an educator. I believe children learn best through engaging experiences that spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and provide just the right amount of challenge. Productive struggle helps students build resilience, perseverance, and confidence when faced with new learning. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, asking questions, and growing as learners. I teach by modeling new skills, practicing them together in a variety of ways, and gradually releasing responsibility so students can develop independence and mastery. Every child learns differently, so I tailor my instruction to meet each student's unique needs and learning style. Throughout our lessons, I provide encouragement, individualized support, and immediate feedback to help students make steady progress and celebrate their success!
Teacher Specialization
I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Rhode Island College and hold an elementary teaching certification for grades 1–6. Throughout my teaching career, I have primarily worked with 2nd and 3rd grade students, helping them build strong foundations in reading, writing, and mathematics. In addition, I have several years of experience supporting English Language Learners, using differentiated instruction and individualized strategies to help all students achieve success and grow in confidence.
