Welcome to tutoring with me. My name is Mrs. Petteway and I have been a teacher for 16 years and a tutor for 10. I struggled with Math in middle and high school. I had a great college professor who supported me and helped me build a growth mindset with Math. I became a teacher because I vowed to be that same support for all students I had the privilege to teach. I value communication and hard work to help my students navigate problems in Math. We work as a team to guide learning, figure out confusing areas, and truly develop a growth mindset to build confidence. Math is hard for so many, I would love to be a part of your journey.
Teacher Specialization
I have tutored for 10 years in all Math subjects (elementary subjects- Math-Calculus). I have been a credentialed teacher in Math for 16 years. This includes teaching Middle school Math (pre-Algebra-Algebra) and all elementary subjects as well. I have also taught High School Math (pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, Statistics and Calculus) for 7 years. I am confident with all Math subjects and can help guide and support you extensively with any subject needed.
