Bio
My name is Tyler Stevenson. I am a teacher who believes in the power of lifelong learning. I have a passion for knowledge and learning, as well as helping every student find their passion for learning. I live by one simple philosophy as a teacher: "I make smart cool". I believe in blending fun with academic rigor. I believe in challenging students to reach their academic potential, while making learning enjoyable and fun. I'm a trivia geek, who has been a Jeopardy! contestant as well. Additionally, I create my own trivia games. I have games on Kahoot, Flippity, Blooket, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and Jeopardy. I have my own personal Jeopardy boards that I've created as well. We will in class learn a lot, but we will laugh and smile much more. You will leave more encouraged and empowered in your learning by being in my class. I can't wait to meet you. Side note: I also love sports, music, and I'm a classical music singer that's performed in Carnegie Hall.
Teacher Specialization
I graduated in 2021 with a Master's degree in Special Education Administration from Southern Nazarene University. I'm an education professional with 10 years of experience in education. I was a paraprofessional for four years, and I'm currently Teacher of 6 years, with experience working with students who qualify under special education. I have worked with a diverse range of students, ranging from twice exceptional students to students on the autism spectrum. I have taught in every format, including teaching in a virtual academy for 1 year in 2021. I am possess experience in online platforms, such as Summit Learning, Edmentum, and Canvas. I also create my own lesson content. My areas of specialty are in social studies, physiology, and math, and I'm certified in social studies, mathematics, and special education. I can teach English as well for students in elementary. I have experience in all levels, and my certifications range from grades 5-12.
