Bio
Hello, my name is Mrs. Tan! I am a passionate educator, but I also enjoy traveling and experiencing new cultures. Being a learner is the most valuable skill, and I hope to continue learning from my students and igniting the same passion in them. Students learn and respond best when they feel comfortable and safe. I believe we need to meet all students where they are to help them grow and be successful. I hope to build confidence and make sure all learners feel successful. I have high expectations for students because I know they can meet their potential with the proper support. I hope every student feels welcomed and heard. I love creating spaces for students to feel supported by getting to know them and understanding where they are coming from.
Teacher Specialization
I received my Bachelor's degree in Education and have spent the past 12 years as an elementary teacher. As a second grade classroom teacher, I have taught language arts, math, science, and social studies and have experience with students at all levels.
