Hello! I am Mrs. Cabrera. My goal is to make English Language Arts less intimidating and help students build the confidence they need to succeed. I believe that strong relationships are the foundation of effective learning. That is why I like to take the time to get to know my students' interests, learning styles, and individual goals. I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and learning from their mistakes. I am looking forward to helping you build your skills, grow your confidence, and reach your academic goals!
Teacher Specialization
I am certified English Language Arts teacher entering my sixth year of teaching ELA. I am currently on my third year teaching at a virtual school, and prior to that, I taught for three years at a brick-and-mortar school in Texas. I have experience working with students at various skill levels. I specialize in reading comprehension, literary analysis, essay writing, grammar, vocabulary, and STAAR test preparation.
