Bio
Hello, I am Tiffany Bourne and I am a mother of 2. A 15 year old and a 6 year old. I have a love for travel, the water, reading and helping others! I knew I wanted to teach from the time I was 5 years old. I am very passionate about helping the students I work with! I also find that I have to be flexible and learn each students learning style so that I can best help them achieve their goals. I am a firm believer that everyone can achieve their goals. It may take longer for some, but everyone is capable! It is my job as the teacher to figure out how to help them!
Teacher Specialization
I have a BA in Elementary Education with a specialty in Mild Interventions. I taught in special education for 15 years with 2.5 of those years having a virtual component. I have written and followed many IEP's and behavior plans, as well as cotaught with many different teachers and teaching styles. I have had to use district curriculum as well as modify and create my own lessons as assessments for student achievement. Progress monitoring and having the students even track their progress is important and I found it helped students stay driven to achieve their goals.
