Bio
First, I can't wait to meet you and help improve your confidence in Math. My husband and I, along with our 17 year old daughter live in beautiful Tyler, Texas, the "Rose capital of America". I love going to church and getting involved in different ministries there and in my community. I have a passion for tutoring and believe students learn best when they are having fun and the task feels manageable and not overwhelming. I also believe it is vital to communicate effectively with students and families to support on going progress. I deliver individualized tutoring support aligned to student needs and academic goals. I adapt teaching methods for the virtual/online learning environment. I maintain student engagement through interactive and structured online sessions. I am warm and approachable to my students and develop a fun meaningful relationship with them by engaging in conversation about their likes/dislikes. I enhance learning by using scenarios that interest them.
