Bio

Hi, I'm Abigail Benetka. I’m a licensed educator with a Master’s in Education and a few wonderful years of classroom experience under my belt. My teaching philosophy is rooted in flexibility, compassion, and meeting students where they are. I’ve taught middle school English Language Arts, led student organizations, and loved supporting students both academically and personally. I’m especially passionate about helping students build confidence in themselves as learners. My experience has taught me that connection is just as important as content, and I work to ensure each student feels seen, supported, and capable. I aim to create a calm, encouraging space where learning feels accessible and progress is always possible.

Teacher Specialization

My teaching specialization is in English Language Arts for middle grades, with a strong focus on building literacy skills, fostering a love of reading, and helping students develop confidence in their writing and communication. I have experience designing and delivering standards-based instruction both in the classroom and in virtual settings. In online environments, I’ve worked with students who need individualized support, adapting lessons to meet their needs and pacing. I’m comfortable using digital tools to engage students, track progress, and provide feedback in ways that are clear, encouraging, and effective. Whether I’m guiding a live discussion or offering support asynchronously, I prioritize connection and clarity to help every student feel successful.
