Bio
As a tutor, my goal is to help students succeed. Inspired by Krashen’s teaching approach, I focus on lowering the “affective filter” so students feel comfortable, perform at their best, and retain knowledge. I am student-centered and always seek the most effective ways to support each learner. By observing their needs, interests, and learning styles, I adapt lessons to make them both engaging and meaningful. I integrate music, art, technology, and real-life values into my teaching. Above all, I build trust through empathy, kindness, and respect, creating a safe space where students feel motivated to learn and thrive.
Teacher Specialization
I am a native Spanish speaker who earned a Teaching Certificate in K-6 Elementary Education with a specialization in English as a Second Language in May 2021. During my training, I taught kindergarten and first-grade students. In my practicum, I worked with 20 third-grade children, including six with special needs—an experience I value greatly and consider a milestone in my career. Since July 2021, I have been teaching part-time as a Spanish instructor in an online immersion program, working with students aged four to eighteen. In February 2022, I also began tutoring children between the ages of seven and eighteen in English reading through ETS (Educational Tutorial Services). Additionally, I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Spanish from the International University of Valencia, Spain, and I design and deliver my own independent Spanish lesson plans for children.
