Bio
I believe every child has the ability to learn and thrive with the right support. In my tutoring sessions, students explore new concepts through discovery, critical thinking, and problem solving. I teach them how to use resources effectively so they can find answers, build understanding, and grow into independent, curious learners. Confidence is central to my approach. I celebrate each student’s achievements and guide them toward continued progress while honoring their individual strengths and holding them accountable in positive ways. My goal is for every learner to leave with a stronger sense of self and a genuine excitement for learning. When I’m not teaching or tutoring, I enjoy hiking and camping. Spending time outdoors strengthens my own problem-solving skills and fuels the curiosity I aim to inspire in my students.
Teacher Specialization
With 13 years of experience across elementary and middle school settings, I have taught in general and special education environments—including self-contained, co-taught, and small-group classrooms—supporting a wide range of learner needs. I hold a B.S. in Early, Elementary, and Special Education; an M.Ed. with a Reading Specialist Endorsement; and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. I am certified in Early and Elementary Education (K–6), Middle Level Math (6–9), and Middle Level English (6–9).
