Bio
Hello everyone! My name is Amanda Nordquist and I am thrilled to be a part of the Stride teaching/tutoring community. With a passion for education and a commitment to nurturing young minds, I have dedicated myself to creating a positive and engaging learning environment. My teaching philosophy revolves around fostering a love for learning and encouraging critical thinking. I believe that every student has unique talents and abilities, and it is my responsibility to create an inclusive community. There are several differentiated instruction techniques that I use in my classroom to cater to each student's unique needs. I incorporate technology tools and resources that can be personalized for each student. This may include adaptive software, online learning platforms, or multimedia resources that can be adjusted to match each student's learning style and pace.
Teacher Specialization
I hold a Masters degree in Education in Literacy and Languages from Australia where I gained a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical teaching strategies. I completed my student teaching in Spain. I have also traveled all around the world teaching all subjects, grades and cultures. I started a school in Costa Rica and a Microschool during the pandemic. I have taught many years of STEM/STEAM and AP English.
