Bio

Hello! My name is Mrs. Ramsey. I LOVE Disney and traveling, as well as planning traveling for others. I also love to drink cold coffee year round, no matter what the temperature. :) I believe all students learn best when you find the type of learning that provides them with that "ah ha" moment every time. If they are able to find an easier way to learn, then they will ultimately enjoy reading more. I want students to have a positive outlook on learning and enjoy what they are doing. If you enjoy something you are more apt to remember it. By getting to know students and their interests, I am able to include those things in our learning sessions, which will make their learning more relatable to them. If they can relate to the content, they will be more apt to remember the content. I enjoy tutoring because it provides that one on one attention some students need and allows me to focus more on them and develop the curriculum to meet their needs in the best way possible.

Teacher Specialization

I have a Bachelor's degree in Middle Childhood Education. I am certified to teach in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, and soon North Carolina. I also have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. For 9 years I taught in a brick and mortar setting. I taught 4th or 5th grade Math and Science during those years. For the past two years I have taught virtually in 6th and 8th grade Science classes and a 7th grade math class.
