Bio

Hi there! I am Ms. Powell and I believe that all students can be successful, no matter the factors they may currently have working against them. I am committed to helping students think creatively and complete work of the best of their ability. My goal is to make students feel comfortable with me so that they may be open to sharing their thoughts and feelings, especially when they are struggling with a skills ; I want everyone to feel welcome!

Teacher Specialization

I have 4 years of experience teaching 7th grade, and am currently teaching 8th grade. I have taught Creative Writing, Collaborative English, Honors English, and ESL English. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English with concentrations in secondary education and Sociology. I also have experience with private tutoring.
