Bio
Hello! I’m excited to introduce myself and support your child on their learning journey. I am a patient, experienced educator with a strong background in math and a passion for helping students build confidence. I believe in meeting students where they are and creating personalized goals to support steady progress. I have taught math at many levels, ranging from 1st grade through pre-calculus, and I enjoy breaking concepts into simple, manageable steps to make learning feel less overwhelming. I work to create a safe, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and trying hard things. I also speak Spanish fluently and can tutor in Spanish. I had the opportunity to teach overseas in Tonga, which deepened my commitment to supporting students from all backgrounds. I look forward to working with you and your child!
Teacher Specialization
I have over eight years of experience in education, including four years teaching 5th grade and four years teaching middle and high school math in a residential treatment facility. I have taught math across a wide range of levels, from 1st grade through pre-calculus, and support students with both foundational skills and more advanced concepts. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and have experience as a math tutor and student mentor. I also speak Spanish fluently and can tutor in Spanish. My experience in both traditional and therapeutic school settings allows me to support students with diverse learning needs and learning challenges.
