Bio
Hi my name is Ann Marie. I am excited to be a tutor because I have a strong desire to help all students be successful. My style of tutoring is student centered. I take my time to get to know my students and what their specific needs are. I make sure I plan sessions that allow my students to interact with the material being presented. I also take into account the learning styles of my students. I make time to meet with students before and after sessions to ensure that they are feeling confident about the material and encourage them to share any feedback regarding our sessions. I enjoy working in all different content areas. Outside of tutoring and teaching I enjoy playing basketball, softball, swimming, spending time with family and friends, trying new cuisines, and reading both non-fiction and fiction texts. I enjoy being outdoors and exploring new places.
Teacher Specialization
I have primarily taught early childhood specifically pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, and second grade for about 9 years. I have also worked as an online and in person tutor for students in grades K to 6 for about 5 years. I have my Masters of Science in Childhood Education (Grades 1-6). I also have a post Masters certificate in Early Childhood Education (Birth-2nd Grade).
