Hi!! My name is Ms. Burns, I am a 3rd grade Math/Science teacher with k12 and this is my 6th school year here! I have taught multiple grades and areas over the years, but 2nd grade and Math have always been my favorite to teach, even though I LOVE reading as well. To me, successful teaching begins and ends with student relationships, so that is a high priority for me in the classroom. I love teaching and learning, and making it a fun, relaxed environment. My goal as your child's tutor, is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student can feel confident, capable, and excited to learn. I believe every child can grow academically when they are encouraged, challenged appropriately, and given tools that meet their individual needs. I will do my best to strengthen both the foundational skills that are needed to succeed, as well as any specific areas your student may be struggling with. Through tutoring, I am to set every student up for success!
