Bio
Hi! I’m Dionne and my teaching philosophy centers on meeting students where they are, building on their strengths, and creating a learning environment where they feel valued, supported, and capable of success. I believe that learning should be engaging, interactive, and personalized—and I design my lessons to make sure each student feels empowered and motivated. I hold a Bachelor’s, a Master’s in Education, an Elementary Education certificate, a Reading Specialist certificate and a Special Education certificate, along with specialized training in data-driven instruction, curriculum development, differentiated learning, the Science of Reading and student engagement. As a tutor, my personality is warm, encouraging, and patient. I love bringing energy to learning, breaking down complex concepts, and celebrating every milestone—big or small. My goal is simple: help students feel confident, capable, and excited about their growth. I look forward to supporting your child on their learning!
Teacher Specialization
My extensive experience includes teaching all types of learners in grades 1-6. My love of literacy is evident in my Reading and Writing instruction. I also find great joy in teaching Math to empower students to make valuable connections, build upon what they know, and encourage growth through motivation and measurable success. I’ve tutored virtually since 2020, incorporating specialized, individualized instruction, active engagement and relationship building to bridge the virtual classroom into an interactive learning experience for students. Currently, I hold a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership.
