Hello. I am a veteran teacher. I would love to have the opportunity to use my experience from the classroom to cater a tutoring experience for your child. Learning should be many things; engaging, exciting, fun, rewarding, meaningful, and yes, even uncomfortable, because it is only in the discomfort that true learning and growth are happening. What learning should NOT be however, is frustrating. I truly believe that an enriching tutoring experience can be achieved that provides the right amount of discomfort to elicit growth and achievement worthy of great pride and satisfaction without tears, frustration, and negativity. I work to get to know students personally and to help them develop a growth mindset. I ensure my instruction is meeting them exactly where they are- on, below, or above grade level. I can customize a tutoring experience that ensures your child finds success, achieves growth, has fun, and feels good about him/herself while doing it! Let's grow together!

I have been teaching for over 22 years. I've taught kindergarten, 4th, 5th, & 6th grades & college courses to pre-service teachers. This experience teaching across the spectrum of elementary grades gives me tremendous perspective on what students need as they progress through their elementary years. I have a vertical vision of elementary school that allows me to provide students with exactly what they need to move forward with success.
