Bio
My name is Becky Brumfield and I would be happy to meet your tutoring needs. My teaching philosophy is aligned with building relationships with my students. I want to make every student feel welcomed, seen and appreciated no matter how short or long I have with them. I strive to meet each student where they are academically and challenge them appropriately to achieve acdemic success. I love teaching ELA (reading and writing), but there's special place in my heart for the other subjects as well because I just simply love learning! Ultimately, I want all kids to love to learn, but I know they might need a little extra help to achieve that sometimes. That's why I am here to help students succeed where they are in their learning journey!

I have taught 6 wonderful years in Virginia across Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 5th grade ELA. I am going into my 3rd year as a virtual educator and absolutely love it. I have a bachelor's degree in Human Development and a master's degree in curriculum & instruction. Teaching reading has always been a passion of mine, but I just simply love learning so all subjects are a focus of mine through this tutoring process.
