Bio
I am a licensed educator with endorsements in Mathematics and Talented and Gifted (TAG) education and more than 20 years of experience helping students achieve academic success. In 2024, I was inducted into the Iowa Association of Alternative Education Hall of Fame and named High School Teacher of the Year in my district. I believe every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and opportunities to grow. My teaching style is built on strong relationships, clear expectations, and a positive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. Whether a student needs help with math, executive functioning skills, study habits, or academic confidence, I strive to make learning engaging, approachable, and rewarding.

As a licensed Mathematics and Talented and Gifted educator with administrative credentials, I have extensive experience working with struggling learners, gifted students, and those seeking additional academic support. My approach combines strong content knowledge, individualized instruction, and practical strategies that help students build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and achieve long-term success both in and out of the classroom.
