Bio
I love teaching students and helping them learn! I believe all students can learn and it is my job to find what works best with each student. I individualize instruction to meet my student's needs and strive to make learning fun. It is my job to make the content make sense. It is very rewarding to see growth in my students and is exciting when they share their achievements with me! I enjoy reading and spending time with my dogs. I live in Texas and grew up in the Midwest. I have worked with students in every time zone in the United States as well as a few in other countries too! I look forward to working with you!
Teacher Specialization
I taught for 32 years in the elementary classroom. I taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 5th grade math. I taught all subjects in the elementary classroom and also taught research skills in an elementary and high school library. I have also tutored grades K-7 in math, reading, and writing online for 3 years and tutored math and reading privately for 3 years. I have a BA in elementary education from the University of Sioux Falls and an MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin.
