Bio
Hello there! My name is Brittany Monterde, and I am very excited to be here! I am a passionate and adaptable educator with over 9 years of experience teaching students in K-8. My teaching personality blends structure with kindness - I set clear expectations while creating a safe space where every learner feels supported and encouraged. Whether I'm teaching subjects such as Reading, Math, Science, or Social Studies, or working with students with unique learning needs, I help them to achieve beyond what they thought was possible by tailoring the instruction to meet them where they are at. I thrive on building meaningful connections to learning, and I look forward to being your tutor and helping your child to succeed.
Teacher Specialization
From 2016-2020, I taught 4th grade and 1st grade. In 2021, I then transitioned to a Varying Exceptionalities position, working with students with ADHD, ADD, Other Health Impairments, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Autism. I currently hold an Elementary K-6 Bachelor's degree, as well as certifications in ESOL, Reading, and ESE K-12. I also have tutoring experience for the past 8 years, working with various subjects from K-5.
