Bio
Hi, I’m Caitlin, and I’m so glad you’re here! I’m a master’s-prepared educator who loves hiking, live music, and exploring creative projects. I have extensive experience teaching in an online environment and was previously a virtual elementary teacher. I became a tutor because I love seeing students grow and discover what they’re capable of; they’re the future, and supporting their learning is truly meaningful to me. One of my favorite professional accomplishments was launching a K–6 STEM program from the ground up, which allowed me to bring hands-on, project-based learning to students of all ages. I’m passionate about helping learners feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress while fostering curiosity, independence, and a love of learning.
Teacher Specialization
I tutor all core elementary subjects, including Reading, ELA, Math, Social Studies, and Science, with a focus on personalized, data-driven instruction for K–6 learners. I hold a Master’s in Teaching, a Bachelor’s in Communications, and a California teaching credential. I have three years of teaching experience and previously worked as a teacher’s aide. My background includes teaching K–6 STEM and PE, supporting virtual general education for TK–8th, and serving as a 4th and 5th grade virtual homeroom teacher. I help students build strong foundational skills, develop effective thinking habits, and grow their confidence. I provide timely feedback that supports next steps and encourages a growth mindset. I create supportive, inclusive learning environments where students feel valued and comfortable taking risks, and I enjoy using project-based learning to connect instruction to real-world experiences.
