Bio
My name is Catherine Rayno-LeDoux and I am a high school math teacher in Virginia. I have taught courses ranging from Algebra 1 to AP Calculus AB, including honors level classes and collaborative remedial classes for those that struggle with the content for various reasons. I truly believe that everyone can succeed in math, no matter their previous experiences. With patience and practice, anyone can reach their goals and find success in a math class! In my classroom, we will start small and gradually work our way up, building confidence as we take each step. Outside of teaching, I enjoy ballet, hiking through the national parks, and reading as many books as I can get my hands on through the local library.
Teacher Specialization
In the high school math classroom, I have worked with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus/Trigonometry, and AP Calculus AB in the high school setting. Outside of school, I have tutored for the math portions of the SAT and ACT exams. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all levels, from Honors and AP students to students that have historically struggled in their math class. I have a lot of experience working with non-traditional learners such as students with disabilities (physical disabilities as well as learning disabilities) and English Language Learners. I hold a bachelor's degree in pure mathematics and a master's degree in education.
