Bio
Hello! My name is Ceanna and I am a credentialed elementary school teacher with a master's degree in Elementary Education from UC Berkeley. I am also OG trained in foundational reading and Dyslexia support. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade for the past 6 years, including online teaching and tutoring. I believe that building a strong relationship with every one of my students is the foundation for successful and meaningful learning. I am well-versed in differentiation to meet the needs of diverse learning styles. I value project-based and hands-on learning, which I believe begins with listening to students to discover their unique interests and talents. Tutoring is my favorite way to teach when not in the classroom full-time, and I would love to create customized, standards-based instruction for your students to help them overcome a learning challenge, ignite a love of a subject, or just learn something new!

I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade for the past 6 years, including online teaching and hybrid teaching. My classrooms were all full-inclusion and multiple-subject, so I have taught students with a range of learning disabilities and supported them with their IEPs. I've been a private tutor for both 1-on-1 and small groups since the height of the pandemic. I am Orton-Gillingham trained for foundational reading and Dyslexia interventions.
