Hellol, I’m Chandra Costello, a STEM instructor. ■ My educational philosophy is student-centered and data-driven: every learner deserves tailored instruction that builds confidence, mastery, and measurable growth. I aim to make learning feel possible, purposeful, and exciting. ■ My goal is to build foundational skills needed to close learning gaps, strengthen conceptual understanding, raise performance levels, and prepare learners for accelerated pathways using clear instruction, strategic scaffolding, and interactive learning. ■ I bring a strong scientific and analytical background, including a National Science Foundation Research Award and a published article in the Journal of Chemical Information and Computer Sciences. ■ My tutoring style is structured, empathetic, and adaptable. I provide clear goals, timely feedback, and real-time adjustments. I’m committed to professionalism, collaboration, and helping students build skills, independence, and academic momentum.

■ I empower learners through human-centered instruction that blends STEM expertise with effective pedagogy, strategic test-taking skills, and critical-thinking development. I help students think beyond the obvious, approach problems from multiple angles, and build strong conceptual understanding. I design targeted lessons for remediation, acceleration, and enrichment; break down challenging concepts; use data to guide instruction; and create a supportive environment that builds confidence and persistence. ■ I am a credentialed Middle Grades and High School Math and Science educator with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Secondary Education. Certified in Georgia, Missouri, and Maryland, I specialize in grades 6–8 math, Algebra, Precalculus, and Chemistry. My experience includes four years teaching high school science, two years teaching 8th grade math virtually, and over seven years as a full-time private tutor.
