Bio
I am Chitra Rajasekaran, a certified classroom Mathematics 7–12 teacher in Texas with strong foundations in Mathematics and Physics, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in both subjects and a B.Ed specializing in Mathematics and Physics instruction from India. I completed the UTeach program at UT Austin and have over 14 years of experience in classrooms in India, teaching middle and high school Math, including Algebra II in a U.S. public school. I also have 2 years of online tutoring experience. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, using slides, games, and quizzes to support different learning styles. I focus on meeting students at their level, building confidence, strengthening foundational skills, and helping them make meaningful real‑world connections through math. Seeing students apply what they learn and grow as independent learners is my greatest reward.

I specialize in teaching Middle and High school Mathematics , with a strong focus on Algebra I, Algebra II Geometry, Pre-Calculus and Trigonometry. I have extensive experience helping students strengthen foundational skills, master concepts , develop problem solving skills and build confidence in higher-level Math. With two years of online tutoring experience guiding different grade level students , I use interactive tools such as slides, quizzes and games to support visual and auditory learners. My strength lies in breaking down complex concepts , adapting instruction to each student's pace, and helping learners make meaningful real-world connections through Math. I enjoy guiding students through challenging topics in a clear and engaging way by building on prior knowledge, chunking , promote active learning and provide clear objectives and expectations. I also create a safe environment where students feel safe to ask questions and also take ownership for their learning.
