Bio
Hello, I am Mrs. Brennan! I'm so excited to be your tutor, get to know you and help you learn and grow! I'm a military spouse, I have two dogs (Cinnamon and Ravioli), a baby boy who is 18 months old with another baby on the way! I'm a huge Eagles fan and love talking about football. I enjoy reading and drinking coffee while relaxing at night. I'm in my 5th year of teaching. I spent 3 years teaching in Virginia, with students who had more specific learning disabilities in grades K to 6 and for 2 years in Pennsylvania in schools for children with more intellectual, behavioral and physical disabilities. I love creating a warm and safe environment for my students and meeting them where they are, creating goals that are realistic and achievable and then celebrating those achievements in a big way! I'm an easy going and flexible teacher but hold my standards firm when it comes to my students. I am fair but stern when needed. We will have a lot of fun and learn a lot together!
Teacher Specialization
I received my degree in Early childhood education (PK-5) and Special Education (K-8) from Bloomsburg University here in Pennsylvania. My teaching experiences range from K-5 Learning support, specific learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD/ADD/ODD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. I have taught in both Pennsylvania and Virginia but I am licensed in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
