Bio
Hello and welcome! My name is Christine DiBerardino, and I would love to be your online tutor. My teaching philosophy is that all children can learn. During instruction, I continuously check for understanding and monitor student responses, adjusting and pivoting in real time to ensure every learner is supported. An education specialist, my expertise lies in helping students with learning disabilities and other challenges access the curriculum with confidence. I design instruction that is differentiated, structured and responsive to each student's unique needs. I create a warm, welcoming online classroom where students feel safe to take risks! Every lesson integrates social-emotional learning and relationship building, fostering meaningful connections and creating a positive, joyful learning experience for all students.
Teacher Specialization
Over my 26-year career in education, I’ve learned that every child is unique, every child has strengths, and every child can learn with the right support. Exclusively teaching in the online environment for the past 6 years, I specialize in virtually engaging students through interactive lessons. I am a lifelong learner myself with a B.A. in Communication Studies from UCLA and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Education from Santa Clara University. I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential (preschool–12th grade self-contained/core subjects for grades 5–8), as well as an Education Specialist Credential in Mild/Moderate Disabilities (K–12). Both credentials include certification to teach English language learners (preschool-12). During my career, I have taught general education in grades K, 1, 2, 4, and 6. I have taught special education in grades TK-8th. Teaching is my passion, and I am deeply committed to helping every student connect, access the curriculum, learn, and grow.
