Hello, I'm Colby Bobbitt, an experienced middle school teacher entering my 6th year in the field of education. I am passionate about inspiring young minds and fostering their growth and development. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and a love for learning. My teaching personality can be described as enthusiastic, compassionate, and patient. I am dedicated to building meaningful connections with my students, establishing a positive rapport, and creating a safe space where they feel comfortable expressing themselves and taking academic risks. I believe in fostering a growth mindset, encouraging resilience, and promoting a love for lifelong learning.
Teacher Specialization
My experience has been teaching mathematics to 6th and 7th graders in traditional and virtual settings. I have experience instructing students across different levels, including intervention, traditional, and advanced mathematics. I have also taught elective courses such as leadership and career explorations. I'm certified to teach all core subjects for grades 4-8. This wide range of subject knowledge allows me to provide a well-rounded education and support for my students.
