Bio
Hello I'm Ms. Cynthia Cantu and I'm a certified math teacher. If your child dislikes math and has trouble keeping focused, I am the teacher for you. I can keep them engaged while having fun while learning. I always make sure they are following along and I work on their strengths to teach any concept. I have multiple ways of teaching for those that understand formulas and those that are visual learners. I have plenty of experience working with students with learning disabilities from dyslexia to non English speakers. I have also taught online at LingoAce for students from all over the world.
Teacher Specialization
I've been in the education field for 16 years. I was a substitute for 3 years. I was also a paraprofessional for 3 years, receiving Paraprofessional of the Year in 2013. I was an interventionist for 1 year, and math teacher for 6th and 8th grade for 6 years. I have taught at the alternative center as well as online for a year. I have a Bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies. I am a certified secondary (4-8) math teacher with a minor in health.
