As a licensed teacher with a Class B certificate in Biology and Psychology, I bring over seven years of virtual teaching expertise in Honors Biology, Standard Biology, Environmental Science, and AP Biology. My work focuses on guiding students through inquiry-based learning, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging mastery of scientific concepts using innovative digital platforms and methodologies. My instructional approach integrates holistic and pragmatic strategies, enabling students to take ownership of their learning. My philosophy of evaluation is simple. Students learn by doing, and they learn from their mistakes. It's in giving feedback, appropriate differentiation and time that the learning takes place. My goals of tutoring is to meet students where they are at and reinforce their strengths while giving their weaknesses time and opportunities to grow. I believe in providing a safe supportive environment. I own a small knitting business and love to make beanies!
