Bio
Hello, my name is Mrs. Dawn Sawyer. I have been teaching for over 27 years. I have taught middle school Language Arts and Social Studies in Clarksville, Tn. I have been teaching virtually for the past two years. I am a native of Clarksville, Tn and am married to my high school sweet heart. My husband and I have two handsome sons and two beautiful daughter-in-laws. I love attending our church, being a mom, spending time with family, vacationing, swimming, and antiquing. I understand the frustrations of school as a former student and as a mother. I believe school should be a safe place where students are free to explore and teachers are to encourage students to achieve their highest potential. I am here to help students feel successful and improve their self esteem. I am looking forward to building positive and meaningful relationships with students and families.
Teacher Specialization
I am a graduate of Austin Peay State University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, and have a masters degree from Trevecca Nazarene in Administration/Leadership. I have taught Reading/Language Arts and worked with students with multiple learning disabilities for over 27 years. For several years, my students had the best overall writing scores in our district.
