Bio
My name is Eileen, and I am looking forward to tutoring your student. I am a U. S. Coast Guard veteran and have published two children's picture books. As a teacher I will have the unique opportunity to influence the lives of children and contribute to the student’s foundation for learning. I believe that to be a teacher is one of the most important undertakings an individual can pursue. I believe that flexibility is of utmost importance since students learn in a variety of different ways. I will differentiate instruction and strive to adopt whatever teaching strategies are necessary in order to reach all of my students.
Teacher Specialization
I have a Masters of Education in Elementary Education with 25 years experience teaching elementary school. I have taught Reading, Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies in grades K-5. I am a National Board Certified Teacher (Middle Childhood Generalist) and taught online for 2 1/2 years. I also taught after school tutoring for 9 years in grades 4 and 5.
