Hello, I'm Mrs. Piper! I love helping students of all different abilities reach their goals. I get to know each of my students and adapt my lessons to their personalities and learning styles. Math is not everyone's favorite subject, it's usually their least favorite subject. This is actually why I love teaching it because I try to make my lessons and activities be engaging and make something not preferred fun! My goal as a tutor is to help you build confidence in an area that is difficult. I believe in changing my lessons to meet the needs of individual learners I'm working with. There are so many different ways to look at math, and I find the way that works for YOU!
Teacher Specialization
I'm on my 9th year of teaching. In my years, I have taught math 7, math 8, algebra 1 and geometry. I also have taught math resource room as a Special Education teacher. My education consists of a Bachelors degree is in Mathematics and a Masters Degree in Special Education. I hold a teaching certification of grades 7-12 generalist special education.
