Bio
I am a passionate and student-centered educator and ESE Coordinator committed to creating inclusive, engaging, and supportive learning environments where every student can thrive. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every child has unique strengths, abilities, and potential, and deserves opportunities to succeed through individualized instruction, positive relationships, and meaningful support. Throughout my career, I have served as an ESE teacher, Lead Teacher, and mentor, collaborating with educators, families, administrators, and community partners to improve student outcomes. A career highlight was developing a multisensory program using visual aids, interactive activities, and adaptive materials that strengthened students’ reading skills, confidence, and engagement. I have also mentored teachers through classroom observations, professional development, lesson planning, and problem-solving.
Teacher Specialization
My teaching specialization is Exceptional Student Education (ESE), with a strong focus on inclusive education, individualized instruction, and supporting students with diverse learning and behavioral needs. I specialize in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), adapting curriculum, designing effective accommodations, monitoring student progress, and creating interventions that address academic, social-emotional, and behavioral goals. My experience includes working collaboratively with general education teachers, families, therapists, counselors, and school leadership to ensure students receive appropriate services in the Least Restrictive Environment. I also have experience developing Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs), supporting inclusion and transition, and using multisensory and differentiated instructional strategies to increase engagement and achievement.
