Hello, I'm Mrs. Harrison, and I am so excited to be allowed to tutor you. I enjoy teaching and helping you to learn. I know students learn at different paces, and methods that work well for one student may be less effective for another. My goal is to provide individualized instruction to meet the educational needs of each student. I also want my students to think creatively about problems to better equip them to use critical thinking skills outside the classroom. I encourage every student to ask questions and utilize resources to improve their chances of success. I use technology and other teaching methods (including hands-on) or strategies to ensure you have a full understanding of each lesson. I have a Master of Education in Special Education. I have educator certification with endorsements in Special Education and Middle School Language Arts. I was appointed as a lead teacher and was appointed a recipient of the Top Merit Pay Bonus.
Teacher Specialization
As a 16-year educator, I have taught and tutored in a brick-and-mortar building and online. I have taught and tutored pre-K – high school general education and special education students with various deficits or disabilities. I have taught and tutored students in subjects, Reading (including the Science of Reading), Writing, Math, and Algebra II.
