I believe students learn best when instruction is engaging, differentiated, and tailored to their individual strengths and needs. I value creating a supportive environment where meaningful feedback guides growth, encourages confidence, and fosters lifelong learning. I have a background in Applied Mathematics and Linguistics, specializing in the English, Spanish, and Japanese languages. I am committed to guiding each learner’s growth, helping them develop the skills and mindset needed for both immediate achievement and long-term excellence. I strive to build positive, trusting relationships with students by fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every learner feels valued. By creating this foundation, I empower students to take risks, ask questions, and engage confidently in their learning. I enjoy exploring diverse cultures, languages, and creative pursuits such as reading and exercising, and I bring this curiosity into my teaching.
Teacher Specialization
I specialize in tutoring mathematics. I have a bachelor's degree in Asian Studies and a master's degree in Linguistics. I am certified to teach mathematics in grades 6-12, English for Speakers of Other Languages in grades K-12, and Elementary-level math. I have worked with students at all levels, from elementary through high school to college. Aside from teaching for three years, I have over ten years of experience as a tutor.
