Bio
I have lived in five different countries and teach Korean, Japanese, and math, reflecting my deep interest in both languages and mathematics as well as the humanities. I became a tutor because I truly enjoy helping students grow in these diverse areas through clear explanations, cultural understanding, and supportive guidance. I believe students learn best when instruction is personalized to their needs, learning styles, and interests. I aim to provide clear, meaningful feedback that guides growth while encouraging confidence and independence. My goal as a tutor is to help students build strong academic skills while also developing critical thinking, creativity, and confidence. I am committed to supporting each learner’s progress and helping them reach their highest potential. I work to build positive, trusting relationships with students by creating a supportive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. I want every student to feel seen, respected, and motivated to learn.
Teacher Specialization
I am a Michigan certified Middle School Math Teacher with extensive experience in upper-level mathematics through my MBA studies. I also specialize in Korean and Japanese, supported by a BA in both languages, a Korean language teaching certification, and JLPT N1 proficiency. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear and manageable steps in both math and language learning, and I tailor instruction to meet each student’s individual needs.
