Bio
Hello! My name is Haley McIntyre. I like to read, run, and build legos with my son. I love that tutoring allows me to engage with students in a small group setting and get to know them more personally. My tutoring style is relationally focused so I can understand what the student needs and how to support their learning best. I want to get to know the student and help them build confidence and skills to be successful. My goal in tutoring is to help students be confident in their abilities and to enjoy learning. I am excited to help your student thrive!
Teacher Specialization
I have 5 years experience teaching first grade and been tutoring on and off for the past 10 years. I have done in person and virtual tutoring with native English speakers and English learners. I have done tutoring with students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. I specialize in helping young learners gain confidence, fluency in reading, and build the foundations for more complex reading and math skills. I am trained in science of reading, phonics, and elementary math. I can't wait to get started learning with you!
